Quotes, Thoughts and Questions to Consider

Purpose:
A parent who nutures a child and raises that child to be of good character gives more to the world than a person with vast wealth and resources and does nothing for mankind,

Legacy:

Name the bureacrates and the wealthy of the great civilizations of the past.

Now try and name the authors, poets, artists, scientists and persons who did good work and contributed to the development of mankind.

- Who are the people we recall in our writings and songs?
- Who are the people we remember in history?

Do we remember the people who had vast fortunes and great quantities of property?
Do we remember or even know the nameless, faceless bureaucrates who did the bidding of their political masters without questioning the logic of their instructions?
Do we remember the secondary political elite who profited and lived lives of ease?

Or do we remember the people who contributed to the advancement of civilization?

Is it not the writers, the artists, the inventors, the explorers, the spiritual leaders that worked hard at their chosen callings and professions that we remember because of their contributions to the elevation of human existence?

Is it not the people who left us with knowledge and products that have helped to improve our lives that we remember most?
